Somehow managing to keep my virtual education toge Somehow managing to keep my virtual education together in the middle of all this, so I can finish my Master’s degree in December. I don’t intend for the conflicts initiated by this hateful administration and the incredible challenges posed by trying to keep up at an elite institution while coming from no financial safety net, in the middle of a pandemic where my industry is frozen more or less indefinitely, keep me from crossing the finish line in 6 weeks. Hanging with this handsome old critter definitely helps...I hope y’all were able to vote. Thankfully my absentee ballot came in ahead of the deadline and I was able to get it back to NY in time to be counted today. Didn’t realize how badly I needed to participate Didn’t realize how badly I needed to participate in this ostensibly farcical process, as a matter of maintaining my own mental health, until I cried all the way to the post office and back. I don’t have the energy to talk about what happened to me on the Saturday before the election in 2016, 4 years ago today, but those of you who are close enough to me to know what I am going through right now are aware that I am still struggling, mentally and physically, to heal from the damage that happened to me in the name of Donald Trump. Please for the love of god. I know it’s a real shit sandwich to have to pick between two aging white guys again. But people with any sort of minority status in this country are not going to make it through another 4 years if we don’t start pushing back against this administration of bigots and bullies today.
